Jelenka 1 is a small trout fishery belonging to MO Klatovy. It is a tributary of the Úhlava River, which it flows into in Janovice nad Úhlavou.

The pictures from Janovice nad Úhlavou are also from this photo gallery. In Janovice you can fly fish on the Jelenka, the catch will be brook trout or rainbows. I used to fish for grayling on the Jelenka, but unfortunately it is very bad in the Úhlava basin with grayling nowadays.

The stretch in Janovice starts at the confluence of the Jelenka and the Úhlava. Most of the flow in the town is regulated with a few smaller riffles. It is a small stream that needs to be equipped accordingly. I recommend fishing exclusively upstream with a dry fly or nymph. A combined fly-float method also works.
