The Úhlava in Janovice nad Úhlavou is part of the trout fishery 433 054 ÚHLAVA 7. The photos in this gallery are from the section from the road bridge below the confluence of the Úhlava and Jelenka to the first convergence of the main river bed and the embankment above Janovice.
Úhlava is the main trout stream in the Klatovy region and in the past it was a famous grayling water. However, the grayling have almost disappeared from the Úhlava in recent years and so when fly fishing on the Úhlava you will catch mainly brown trout, stocked rainbows and occasionally some grayling.
However, the river will certainly attract you with its beauty, in the vicinity of Janovice the Úhlava is already losing its mountain wildness and from Nýrsko to Klatovy it meanders in meadows.
