Tying thread is another material that we are clearly among the most important! It interconnects the fly hook with the other used tying materials, which is applied and tied to the hook. Thus, the tying thread directly helps to create a small artistic work called Artificial Fly!

Tying threads and yarns are produced in a huge amount of colors and diameters and - depending on the material they are made of - have different properties that we use when tying artificial flies! The yarns can be stretchable, firm, very strong or very thin, and their use should therefore correspond to the flies we tie! They are made of natural or synthetic materials, we have also stranded threads, threads of multiple yarns, fine silk threads or waxed threads that can hardly be broken.
